Freedom Tours Wageningen: taking a tour about freedom together

Connecting freedom and inclusivity via guided tours in Wageningen, that is the objective of Freedom Tours in Wageningen. Freedom is often related to Liberation Day, but people can experience freedom in different ways, each with its own meaning.
The starting point for the first route is gender and sexuality. Like any other tour, it highlights historical sites but from the experiences of gender and sexuality of the guide and participants. The first tour will be presented at the end of June. After June, we will expand the tours with other perspectives of freedom.
Freedom Tours encourages residents of Wageningen, students and employees of the university and local organizations to co-create the tours together. The tours tell a variety of experiences and perspectives on freedom, which are connected to the city. Freedom Tours is an initiative of Wageningen University, in collaboration with Vrijheidskwartier and the bblthk.
